Seniors: Now is the last (and best) chance to visit colleges!

What?  Did I read the title right?

Yes – if you haven’t yet visited the schools you got accepted to, this is the best time to visit them BEFORE you make your final decision.  The months of February and March are the most difficult times for seniors and their parents who are still eagerly waiting to hear back from the colleges of their top choices.  While you wait on their admission decisions, please take this opportunity seriously and start visiting the schools well in advance of the May 1st decision deadline.  Many of our students from previous years have changed their minds about their final college choices after visiting them in the spring.

In fact, one of the parents of our students (one freshman in college and another one in 12th grade), who happens to be a travel expert, puts it this way:

Having 2 students work with More than SAT has been a wonderful experience, and made the process less frightening!  I have a son now enrolled at Colorado State University, and this was a suggestion from Chris. My son is absolutely thrilled with his experience and thanks More than SAT for the recommendation.  It was very important to us that our sons physically visit the schools that are high on their list of choices and also the ones that they have been accepted at.  I have heard too many stories of students returning either during or after their first semester because they didn’t like it there!

If your children are like mine, they are likely to choose out-of-state schools.  For us, we had to consider flying or driving.  With the cost of gas and the wear & tear on the cars, we opted to take advantage of some great airfares to make the trips.  We visited 3 states and 3 universities in one trip and it was very affordable.  There are airlines that are very easy and affordable to work with.

I will be available to assist with any travel plans that your children might need it they are seniors and need to make decisions by May 1st!  (Email Petra@LZTravel.com at Lake Zurich Travel & Cruise)

So, stop IMAGINING what it would be like to finally attend the college of your choice.  Get out there and EXPERIENCE the REALITY — for better or for worse!
