Astrologer, Teacher, and Healing Arts Practitioner
“Starman” Joseph Mina – Presently, I reside in the beautiful Western Cape of South Africa near Cape Town. This has been my home for the past two years. Previously I lived on Big Island, Hawaii for 17 years. I was born/raised in the Philadelphia area. I also have lived in Wisconsin, North Carolina, Maine, Georgia, and Australia.
I enjoy traveling and meeting people from around the world. I am passionate about photography, observing the night sky, and swimming with dolphins in the wild.
I am a strong proponent of wellness care and receive it frequently. I have benefited tremendously from the healing arts. Through powerful modalities such as Network Spinal Analysis, biodynamic craniosacral, acupuncture, and Swedish massage, I have expanded and strengthened my awareness, intuition, inner vision, and body strength.
Since 1992, I have facilitated the healing journeys of many people, both as a Bodywork Practitioner and Teacher (my rising sign is Leo), counseling astrologer, and Hawaii Healing Retreats facilitator. Beyond Hawaii, I have shared my “Quantum Alignment Bodywork”, “Life Path Astrology” Consultations, Voyager Tarot workshops, and private sessions in the United States, Australia, Japan, South Africa, England, and Canada. My “cosmic healing toolbox” includes various healing arts, astrology, Voyager Tarot, and astronomy.
Previous to embarking on my healing journey, I was a Certified Public Accountant for twenty years, in the private and public sectors (I have a Capricorn Moon).
As a child, I was fascinated by the Celestial heavens (Venus and Jupiter in Aquarius). As an adult, I felt inspired to share this fascination and passion with others. From 1988-1991, I facilitated Solar System walks (image, above) and astronomy programs at various elementary and junior high schools in the Philadelphia area. I also conducted a similar program at the Omega Institute in Reinbeck, New York. I was actively involved in the International Dark Sky organization where I lectured to various community groups about light pollution and its detrimental effect on the night sky.
In 1988-92, I led Eco-tours of the “Land, Sea and Sky” on the Caribbean island of Tobago, helping others to appreciate the inter-connectedness of life.
Mahalo nui loa (many thanks) to my friends, family, teachers, and clients who support the life and work I love!
